Donations and Pledges to Donate

On March 2, 2016 the Morrisville Veterans Memorial Foundation was chartered by the State of North Carolina as a non-profit corporation. At the direction of its Board, memorial-committee members of the Foundation have submitted an application for tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) of Title 26 of the United States Code to the Internal Revenue Service. When the IRS grants that status, donations to the Foundation for the design and construction of a memorial will be tax deductible. Until that time, donations are not tax deductible.

While we await tax-exempt status, we are asking for pledgesthat is, non-binding offers to donate when tax-exempt status is granted — to support the design and construction of the memorial. If you would like to pledge, we’d like to hear from you! To discuss your kind offer, please contact:

In addition to monetary pledges, we also ask for pledges of in-kind contributions. Examples of in-kind contributions are architectural design, site-clearing services, and the donation of construction material. If you would pledge an in-kind contribution, please contact Jerry at the above addresses or number.

Thank you!
